As a member of the group, Duty to Warn–mental health professionals seeking to raise awareness about the threat posed by Donald Trump’s psychopathology–I have participated in a project involving making 1-2 minute videos that offer a brief analysis of some aspect of Trump’s psychology.

Common sense and tradition suggests that economic / survival needs are primary in human beings and unless they are satisfied, other “softer” needs can’t be address. In this talk to union leaders, I show why this is false and argue that speaking to needs for recognition, meaning, agency, and relationships is crucial for political organizers.
